Michael Scheinholtz, Managing Principal
Scheinholtz Talent Acquisition Group was founded by Michael Scheinholtz in 2008, and he has been engaged in Executive Search and Talent Acquisition Consulting initiatives for most of his career.
He is currently engaged as preferred executive search firm by the President and COO of Republic Bank (for the following markets (Philadelphia, S.NJ and New York City) and the EVP, Head of Human Resources of Israel Discount Bank, NY for the following markets (New York, NY, Florida and Los Angeles). He is currently engaged by Republic Bank to expand its Commercial Banking business into New York City Metropolitan Marketplace in March 2019. In addition, he was previously selected as a preferred executive search firm by the Resource Program Director of Allegis Global Solutions, HSBC USA, Federal Reserve Bank of NY, UMB Financial Corporation, The Westchester Bank, Connect One Bank and East West Bank. At Allegis Global Solutions he worked on the HSBC RPO account as a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to oversee and manage the full-cycle recruitment initiatives for the US Commercial Bank for two and half years. In this role he supported the following businesses; Head of Corporate Banking, Head of Commercial Real Estate, Head of International Subsidiary Banking, Head of Leverage and Acquisition Finance, Head of Middle Market Financial Sponsors Group, Head of Lending and Transaction Management and Head of Corporate Support. This included sourcing and hiring candidates within the following markets; Upstate NY, Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Prior to starting Scheinholtz Talent Acquisition Group, Michael Scheinholtz was the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition for Barclay’s Bank in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role he was responsible for managing the corporate and executive search functions. Barclay’s Bank was a subsidiary of Barclay’s PLC, which is a global financial services institution based in the UK.
Prior to Barclay’s Bank, Michael was the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition for Commerce Bank (which was acquired by TD Bank in 2008) based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. During his tenure he managed the executive, corporate and commercial banking functions. Commerce Bank was a super-regional financial services institution serving Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, DC and Florida markets.
Prior to Commerce Bank, Michael was First Vice President, Director of Strategic Staffing for MBNA (which was acquired by Bank of America in 2006) based in Wilmington, Delaware. During his tenure he managed the executive, technology, operations, call center, telemarketing, corporate and college recruitment functions. He was selected by Senior Vice Chairman to manage the start-up recruitment function for MBNA Canada and MBNA Insurance businesses, as well as, selected to build and oversee a centralized recruitment function, which was chosen as a best in practice model. MBNA was a Fortune 200 marketing company offering affinity marketing credit cards, deposit and insurance products, consumer loans and business credit cards.
Scheinholtz graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelor’s degree in Personnel & Labor Relations and was a scholarship recipient from the School of Business.

Daniel Funderburk, Managing Director
Dan Funderburk is Managing Director of Scheinholtz Talent Acquisition Group and has been in financial recruiting and executive search since 2011.
Previously, he managed the global talent acquisition team for the US Retail Bank and Wealth Management at HSBC in the Allegis Global Solutions RPO. He and his team were responsible for executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy and supporting short and long-term hiring objectives, with an estimated 1000 hires annually across the US. In this role, he partnered with HSBC leadership, HR Segment Leads and Business Partners to ensure strategic alignment with business goals (hiring and growth initiatives, strategic projects, and diversity and inclusion/veteran hiring). In addition to the Retail Bank and Wealth Management, he led and managed recruiting initiatives in the following business areas at HSBC: Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Business Banking, Executive Search, Global Trade and Receivables Finance, Commodities and Structured Trade Finance, Syndications and Risk Distribution, Payments and Cash Management, International Subsidiary Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Mortgage Banking, Private Banking, Business Management and Digital Banking.
Prior to HSBC, Dan was Division Director for Robert Half Management Resources. He was responsible for managing a recruiting and consulting practice focused on finance, accounting, and IT projects. Management Resources, a division of Robert Half International, specializes in providing businesses with skilled senior-level accounting, finance, and business systems professionals on a project or interim basis.
Prior to Robert Half, Dan was Co-Founder and COO of LunchPro.com, an online catering solution for business professionals that partners with local and chain restaurants to offer easy to order, convenient meal packages for group orders.
Prior to LunchPro, Dan was a Financial Advisor at UBS and Merrill Lynch. Dan has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Ouachita Baptist University, an MBA in International Management from the University of London, and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Southern Methodist University.
